URL parameters allow you to pipe information into your typeform that you already have. So if you know the name of your respondent, you can add that information to your URL parameter, and your respondent won't have to tell the typeform who they are.

You can do this with any information that you have, like email address, company and so on. URL parameters are an ideal way to send personalized typeforms to your audience, which you can do automatically, in conjunction with email marketing tools like Mailchimp.
